Our students spend time each week working on technical skills to improve their sound quality and into- nation, but also have their favorite songs incorporated into the lessons so they finish with their favorite piece. Our violin teachers, through their care and expertise, will certainly nurture any student’s love of the violin.

We teach all styles from classical, rock, pop, jazz, country, and blues.
How qualified are your violin instructors?
Our teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as New York University, Indiana University, Berklee College of Music, Oxford University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, University of North Texas, South Carolina Governors School for the Arts, the Atlanta Piano Institute, Columbia College, and the University of South Carolina. Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe, and have over 25 years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to get to know each student and their parent on a personal level.

Do I need to purchase a violin to learn the instrument?
Columbia Arts Academy offers violins for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a violin. We offer a variety of instruments appropriate for beginners, starting at just $89.00.
